Simplify life for stressed-out women during International Women's Week...
Posted on 27 June 2016
Next week is International Women's week - let's rejoice our multi-tasking women who are often stressed out attempting to do and have it all...
Women’s stress levels are skyrocketing as they continue to do more: at home women are doing twice as much unpaid domestic work than men - as shown in recent survey ‘UN ‘s flagship report on the progress of the world's women - while managing jobs, kids and the ongoing pressures of being the perfect ‘female role model’ while being fit, healthy, gorgeous and successful (often at the price of their health and wellbeing).
In Australia, the workforce pay gap is 18.8 per cent and decent work opportunities for women post kids continues to decline. Gender equality begins at home: during International Women’s week lets lighten the load guys; after all "Couples who share chores equally have more sex … chore play is real". According to Facebook executive Sheryl Sandberg.
Fortunately for these stressed out ladies, Zippy Skirts makes getting dressed in the morning quick and easy, helping stressed out women get out the door in the morning, looking good and feeling good in comfort and style.
From 20 years working in Design - including 12 years working in Australia’s male dominated corporate Automotive industry at a senior level - coupled with 7 years working as a life and business coach, Zippy Skirts creator Chalisa Morrison knows about the challenges modern women face:
- Women are under the pump to be and do everything and it’s taking it’s toll, we need to actively make advancements to achieve gender equality in Australia at home and at work with equal gender salaries and more flexible work options for mum’s returning to work.
- Women continue to struggle with their body image and appearance as the ideal dictated by the mass media is virtually impossible - a recent survey by Glamour magazine indicated that 54 per cent of women aged 18 to 40 are unhappy with their body and 80 per cent of women admitted the mirror makes them feel bad.
Chalisa Morrison’s Zippy Skirts tackles women’s issues on two fronts; designing a skirt that can be easily styled, worn multiple ways and changed in seconds to save women time and designing a skirt that flatters all shapes and sizes to boost women’s self esteem and confidence. “It’s proven that Women feel so much better about themselves if they feel attractive in their clothes” sais Chalisa.
